Engineering Fair is Cancelled

Unfortunately, due to the weather that we are expected to have this weekend, this event will be canceled. PSEC will work to get everyone reimbursed for the event soon.

January 7, 2019 Meeting Minutes

The January 2019 meeting was held on Monday, January 7th at Razzi’s in Greenwood at 6 pm.

    • No minutes were posted from the December meeting. Kathi agreed to submit her notes.

    • Dave was not in attendance but submitted a report via email.

    • The Seattle Central mentor night was added on January 31st.
  7. Website Updates
    • An announcement for the Fair went out in December
    • Stan will work with John to get the Banquet award recipients placed on the web site.
  8. Engineering Fair Report
    • No report. Beth was not in attendance.
  9. Banquet Update
    • The speaker is locked in
    • The photographer was paid.
    • No Boeing sponsorship has been secured as of yet.
    • The flyers went out but have an incorrect time. Sam will correct.
    • The awards will be sent out within a week. There are 7 awards this year. John will collect photos and will post the bios on the web site.
    • Sam will ask Dave if he will do the program again this year.
    • Stan will do the badges.
    • Since there are 7 recipients this year there will be time constraints for the banquet schedule.
    • Luis agreed to bring the PSEC banner.
  10. Mentor Nights
    • The Seattle Central event is set for January 31st.
    • Luis is looking to line up a UW Bothell event. Angling for the 3rd week of February to mid-March before the Spring break.
    • North Seattle also expressed interest in doing an event in the Spring. Target would also be in March.
    • Luis is also looking into events at Highline and Everett. The later is normally sponsored by SWE.

Booth Signups for the 2019 Engineers Fair are Open

January 7, 2019

It is that time of year again to start preparing for the 2019 PSEC Engineering Fair. This year’s Fair will be on Saturday, February 9th from 10am to 4pm at the Museum of Flight. We will be in the same spot as always, and booth prices will be the same as past years.

I encourage everyone to sign up early so we can plan our space and make sure everyone gets the booth location they want.

One item to note: if you are going to pay by check or other means, or you are a student group, you will select the Pay By Check or “Special Arrangement” option. Do NOT select any other tabs. If you select any of the other options at the same time, it will prompt you for a credit card. Only select the final option in that case.

61st Annual Engineer of the Year Banquet

Puget Sound Engineering Council Announces the 61st Annual Engineer of the Year Awards Banquet will be held Saturday, February 16, 2019, at the Museum of Flight skyline room.

The Museum of Flight will be open to attendees at 5pm-6pm. The Social hour will be from 6:00pm-7pm, with the speaker and awards ceremony later.
